UNTOUCHED NAMIBIA

2025

Day-by-day Itinerary:

Day 1 | Arrive in Nambia

After your international flight lands in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia, you’ll clear customs and be warmly welcomed by a Wilderness representative. From there, you’ll hop on a short flight to Wilderness Little Kulala (1 h 30 min), your gateway to the stunning landscapes of the Namib Desert.

Check into the camp for your 3 night stay.

Day 2 & 3 | Wilderness Little Kulala

For the next two days, immerse yourself in the camp’s amenities while embarking on nature drives and guided walks. These excursions will offer you the chance to marvel at the striking contrasts between the Namib Sea and the expansive desert, allowing you to appreciate the unique beauty of this remarkable landscape.

Wilderness Little Kulala

Wilderness Little Kulala is the closest luxury desert retreat to the famous, seen-from-space Sossusvlei dunes. Guests enjoy exclusive private concession access and the camp’s location makes early morning dune visits (to see Sossusvlei at its best) very easy.

Eleven luxury desert suites expanded to offer improved airflow, each have a private plunge pool, private rooftop area for sundowners, “African tapas” and other rooftop dinners or stargazing, a signature sleep-out experience on the bottom deck of each accommodation to allow for easy access during the night, luxury fittings, as well as indoor and outdoor showers. In terms of color and form, Wilderness Little Kulala blends seamlessly into the desert landscape with interiors reflecting the environment. Activities make the most of the solitude and stark beauty of the Namib Desert, with nature drives and guided walks revealing the majesty and mystery of the Namib Sand Sea.

Day 4 | Travel to Desert Rhino Camp

You will take a light aircraft from Wilderness Little Kulala via Swakopmund, to Doro Nawas Airstrip . From there you will be taken by light aircraft to Wilderness Desert Rhino Camp.

Check in to the Desert Rhino camp for your 3 night stay.

Day 5 & 6 | Desert Rhino Camp

Prepare for two exhilarating days on the desert plains, where you’ll track rhinos and observe other incredible species, including zebras and giraffes.

Wilderness Desert Rhino Camp

Designed for desert wanderers, Wilderness Desert Rhino Camp offers an original, exclusive wilderness experience and the opportunity to see free-ranging desert-adapted black rhino. The desert plains are starkly scenic, and home to other unique species, from Hartmann’s zebra and giraffe, to the bizarre welwitschia plant.

Styled with the desert in mind, the palette, textures and wildlife of Damaraland’s extraordinary vistas are brought into the elegant suite interiors.

With natural stone found on site reinforcing the camp’s connection to nature, Desert Rhino Camp evokes a real sense of place in this stark desert landscape.

Six suites with deep overhanging stretch fabric roof structures, interior tones of terracotta, sage, fern greens and cream, complemented by classic details of timber and leather, create a sheltered sanctuary within this breath-taking desert landscape.

Run in conjunction with Save the Rhino Trust Namibia, Wilderness Desert Rhino Camp offers rhino tracking by vehicle and on foot with experts from this conservation NGO.

Day 7 | Travel to Wilderness Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp

You will be taken by light aircraft from Wilderness Desert Rhino Camp to Wilderness Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp.

Check in to the Hoanib Skeleton Coast camp for your 3 night stay.

Day 8 & 9 | Wilderness Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp

Enjoy an exciting included excursion to the Skeleton Coast, which features a scenic drive along the rugged coastline followed by a thrilling flight back to camp. This experience allows you to take in the diverse landscapes from both ground level and the sky, offering unique perspectives on this mesmerizing region.

Wilderness Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp

The name “Skeleton Coast” conjures up romantic images of desolate beauty, and the proudly remote Wilderness Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp in the Kaokoveld does not disappoint. The dry bed of the Hoanib River supports a thin green ribbon of vegetation and the wild beaches of the Atlantic coast are within reach, with their noisy seal colonies and eerily quiet shipwreck remnants. Eight large en-suite tents (including one family unit) and the main area provide shady viewpoints, while nature drives into the surrounding area reveal a wealth of desert-adapted wildlife. Desert-adapted lion and brown hyena may also be glimpsed in this vast but far from lifeless landscape.

Day 10 | Travel Home

You will be taken by light aircraft from Wilderness Hoanib Skeleton Coast Camp to Desert Rhino Airstrip. From this air strip fly to Doro Nawas Airstrip. Fly Doro Nawas Airstrip to Hosea Kutako International Airport (1 h 30 min). From there you will check into your international flight and fly home.
